2025 Info Session with Cheer Director Cindy Lott
All cheerleaders must complete 20 hours of mandatory conditioning per Pop Warner National. Cheerleaders will not be allowed to participate in regular team practices to learn game day cheers and competition routines until this requirement is met.
Conditioning is implemented for the cheerleader's safety and to ensure they are ready physically for the demands of the regular season. With a short timeline to prepare for the first game and competition conditioning will begin on July 15, 2025. Between 7/15 and 8/1 there will be several practices offered to allow cheerleaders to compete the first 12 hours of conditioning. The remaining 8 hours will completed 8/4-8/7 when team practices begin.
If for any reason you will not be able to attend a practice during the week of 8/4-8/7, please notify your head coach immediately and make arrangements to make up those hours during the July practices.
Cheerleaders will practice four days a week (Mon-Thurs) for the first three weeks of August. Beginning August 25th, practice will drop to three days a week (Tues-Thurs) through October 3rd. Beginning October 6th, practice will drop to two days a week (Tues & Weds). Practice times in August will be 6-8pm. After Labor Day, practice will move to 6-7:30pm.
All of our teams are now competitive teams, so attendance is required at all practices. Practices are where our competition routines will be taught and perfected. Each cheerleader plays an important role in the routine and when a cheerleader is not at practice, this impacts the whole team because stunts can't be practiced and important information is missed.
If your child is sick or must miss practice for any reason, please be sure to contact your head coach in advance so she can make any necessary adjustments to the practice plan for the day.
Additionally, at the end of August, cheer sideline season begins and cheerleaders will be expected to participate in their assigned football game each week. Games may be played either on Saturday or Sunday. The schedule will be shared as soon as it is available.
Finally, all cheerleaders will participate in at least two competitions this season. Participation is required by all cheerleaders. Additionally, any team that qualifies will attend the Regional Cheer Competition in Trenton, NJ at the end of October.
